About This Job
We're looking for a hands-on Product Engineer, frontend-heavy (React Js) with 5+ years of experience who owns features end to end, from a product requirement through to something users touch in production. You'll build interfaces in React and TypeScript and work directly with backend engineers and designers.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own frontend features from requirement to release, and check how they perform once live.
Turn product requirements and designs into responsive, accessible React components.
Integrate with backend APIs; comfortable reading backend code to unblock yourself.
Write the tests for your own work: unit and component as standard, end-to-end where it matters.
Use AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) as part of daily work, but own everything you ship read it, test it, defend it in review.
Own your work end to end: scope it, flag blockers early, keep the team posted without being chased.
WHAT YOU BRING
Strong fundamentals: how the browser works, HTTP, rendering and state, CSS layout. The framework is the easy part.
Solid production experience with React and TypeScript (typically 5+ years), with a record of shipping and maintaining real features.
Experience consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
Git and collaborative workflows; works independently and knows when to ask.
Clear, concise written communication in tickets and pull requests.
NICE TO HAVE
Next.js or another React meta-framework.
Testing tooling such as Playwright or Testing Library.
HOW WE ASSESS
Judgment over recall: a practical task with AI tools allowed, then interviews on the trade-offs behind your decisions.
