Required Qualification:
Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering/ Environmental Sciences/ Project Management with 08 years’ experience or a Master’s degree (18 years qualification) in Environmental Engineering or Sciences or Project Management or Engineering Management from an HEC-recognized university with 10 years’ experience, having a Bachelor’s degree (16 years qualification) in Environmental Engineering or Sciences or Project Management or Engineering Management from an HEC-recognized university.
Nature of Experience:
Experience of management positions dealing with environmental matters and management/execution of development projects /strategies, including but not limited to, in the area of Plastics in: Regulation, Technological Innovation and Recycling Infrastructure, Economic Incentives and Levies, Institutional Capacity Building and Citizen Engagement & Awareness
• Implementation of the Plastic Management Strategy and the Punjab Environmental Protection (Production and Consumption of Single-use plastic product) Regulations 2023.
• Achieving the DLRs 4 -2 & DLR 4-3 of the Punjab Green Development Program.
• Approval of time-bound action plans for achieving the intended results.
• Monitoring and evaluation, supervising and guiding the staff for achieving the intended objectives.
• Approve standard operating procedures for every functional aspect of the Cell right from licensing to awareness campaigns etc.
• Providing support during hiring of Consultancy services, PR Firms etc.
• Ensure compliance and implementation of all relevant rules and regulations.
• Scrutinize final licensing applications and recommend them to the Environment Protection Agency for final decision
• Play a critical role in the institutional strengthening and capacity building of EP&CCD and EPA in Plastic management.
• Any other task assigned by the higher authorities.
