About This Job
About SadaPay
SadaPay is transforming financial services in Pakistan with a digital-first experience that makes managing money simple, transparent, and hassle-free. With over three-quarters of the population still unbanked, we believe financial services need a radical shift. With SadaPay, all you need is a CNIC, a phone number, and a smartphone to get started; no paperwork, no long waits. Our 3 million+ users have left behind their worst banking frustrations, no hidden fees, free local transfers, and a payment experience that’s actually enjoyable. Pair that with friendly customer service and a vibrant debit card, and suddenly, finance doesn’t just work, it feels fun! 🚀
Why is this role important?
We need someone who can move across the whole product surface, personal accounts, SME, and payments, as the business needs, not just own one lane and stay in it. This is not a PM role where someone else sets the direction and you fill in the details: you set it yourself, grounded in company strategy, data, and customer insight. What matters most is general problem-solving and on-the-ground execution, paired with the instinct to know where to strike, which problem, right now, actually moves the needle. This is a senior individual contributor role. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of owning outcomes end-to-end across a broad, sometimes ambiguous product surface, not someone building that foundation for the first time, and compensation and scope will reflect that experience.
As a Sadanaut you will:
Define and Own the Product
• Own the roadmap: proactively define and articulate a clear vision and strategy across whichever product area needs it most at a given time, grounded in company strategy, data, and customer insight, and adjust as priorities shift rather than revisiting it once a quarter
•Get to the real problem: cut through ambiguity to a sharp, well-scoped problem statement, and articulate it clearly enough that engineers, designers, and stakeholders all understand exactly what's being solved and why, for problems complex enough to span personal accounts, SME, and payments
• Land the right solution: weigh options against technical, operational, and compliance feasibility, and commit to the one that delivers real business results, not just the one that's easiest to build
• Drive delivery: push the team through whatever challenges come up, unblocking, escalating, or rolling up your sleeves, whatever it takes to keep momentum toward the Outcome.
Own the Data - End to End
• Go deeper than instrumentation: be hands-on enough with your analytics tooling to answer your own questions, not just wait for an analyst to help Build your own dashboards: funnels, retention curves, cohort breakdowns, and translate the complex analysis into insight the team can act on
• Write SQL: pull, clean, join, and analyze from multiple sources without waiting on a data team
• Run experiments: design A/B tests, size them correctly, evaluate results, and know when a result is genuinely inconclusive
• Translate data into decisions: link every insight back to product and business goals, and combine qualitative and quantitative input to build a full picture of the user
Embrace AI as a Force Multiplier
At this level, using AI tools well isn't optional, it's a core part of how you're expected to move faster and think more clearly.
• Accelerate research and spec writing: get to a sharper first draft faster, then apply the judgment models lack, regulatory nuance, user context, tradeoffs
• Prototype before engineering: use tools like Figma, Claude, or v0 to get to something tangible before asking engineers to build it
• Data work with AI assistance: use code-generation to speed up SQL or Python work, and catch it when the output is wrong
• Bring the team with you: share what you learn about the tooling and help raise the bar for how the rest of the team uses it
Drive Alignment Across Functions
• Compliance and Risk: treat the SBP regulatory environment as a design constraint you plan around, not a late-stage surprise
• Ops and CS: build real relationships with the people closest to user pain, mine their conversations, and close the loop
• Marketing and Growth: stay closely aligned across the full funnel, acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, so product and growth pull in the same direction instead of working around each other
Communicate With Precision
• Executive updates: short, structured, opinionated, lead with the decision, not the background
• Keep the tech team informed: proactively keep stakeholders up to speed on progress, upcoming decisions, wins, and lessons learned, don't wait to be asked
• Document everything important: decisions, post-mortems, experiment results, written records help the whole team learn, not just the person who was there
What it takes to become a Sadanaut:
This is a senior role. We're looking for someone who's done this before, shipped products, owned outcomes, and built the judgment that only comes from experience. We hire and level accordingly.
The Foundation We're Looking For
- Proven product ownership: strong experience owning outcomes end-to-end, with results to show for it, not just tickets closed
- Data fluency: comfortable running deep analysis on data
- Strategic thinking: comfortable defining vision and strategy across whichever product area needs it most, balancing near-term fixes against longer-term bets
- Team leadership: experience partnering closely with a Tech Lead and UX Designer to get things shipped, acting as a role model for how product work should be done
- Clear written communication: you can explain a complex problem simply, in writing, without needing a meeting to back it up
Stronger Candidates Will Also Have
- A track record of figuring out what NOT to build: deprioritising or killing ideas as confidently as shipping them
- Experience running a full experimentation program: designing, sizing, and interpreting A/B tests, including calling inconclusive results
- A grounded point of view on where AI tools genuinely help product work, and where they fall short, from real use
Good to Have
- Python or R for deeper data analysis
- Working knowledge of Pakistan's fintech regulatory environment: SBP, EMI regulations, NADRA BVS
- Working understanding of how ML models and LLMs behave: enough to reason about product tradeoffs and evaluate outputs, even if you're not the one building them
Perks of being at SadaPay:
- USD-Denominated Salary : Your salary is fixed in PKR and denominated in USD to help protect against currency fluctuations. The USD-denominated amount is converted and paid in PKR and remains subject to all applicable taxes and deductions. If the USD depreciates against the PKR, you will always receive at least your fixed PKR salary.
- Hybrid Work Culture: In locations where we have an office, our teams follow a hybrid work model with 2 days in the office and 3 days remote each week, balancing collaboration, flexibility, and focused work.
- Flexible Leave Policy : We offer a flexible leave policy to support a sustainable work-life balance. We trust our colleagues to manage their work and leave responsibly.
- Comprehensive Insurance Coverage : Every Sadanaut, regardless of grade, receives Medical Insurance (covering both outpatient and inpatient care), including immediate family and parents.
- Provident Fund Contributions : Provident fund contributions are provided to all team members to support their financial growth.
- Technology and Resources : Each colleague receives a laptop and additional resources (relevant to their role) to ensure they can work efficiently and comfortably.
Equal Opportunity Provider:
At SadaPay, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued. We strive to make every Sadanaut feel comfortable and respected in the workplace. Discrimination of any kind has no place here; instead, we promote a culture of respect and mutual support among colleagues. Our recruitment process is built on fairness and equality for all, irrespective of race, age, gender, color, religion, social status, disability, or ethnicity.
